What "uncertain" means
A combined score between 40% and 70%. The evidence leans one way without settling it, and the card says so.

Every verdict is one of three labels from the combined score:

When you see it
On the default Balanced preset the circle only appears at 90% confidence, so uncertain content shows no circle at all. On Lenient (70%) you still will not see it. In practice you meet uncertain verdicts in the popup's Uncertain count for the tab, and in the card when you open a post that was flagged and a later recheck lowered its score.
What it usually means
- A writing-pattern score that triggered a few features but not many.
- A classifier probability near the middle, often on stylised or heavily edited images.
- A recheck that found some artefacts and some natural detail.
- Community reports that disagree with each other.
What to do
Nothing, usually. Uncertain is the honest answer for content the detectors cannot settle. Pro users can ask for a recheck to add a second opinion. If you know the answer, Not AI or Report as AI adds your vote.
