Google Limited Use and your YouTube data
When a creator connects a YouTube channel we read one snapshot with read-only scope, discard the tokens at once, and use the data only to verify the channel and review the application.

Slop Squash's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What we ask for
The youtube.readonly scope, used for one request per connection: the channel you own, with its snippet and statistics. From that we keep the channel id, title, handle, thumbnail URL, subscriber count, view count and creation date as a snapshot on your creator account. We do not read videos, comments, playlists or private data, we never write to the channel, and the access and refresh tokens are discarded immediately after that one request. Refreshing the numbers means authorising again.
What the snapshot is used for
Reviewing your creator application (by the automated reviewer and, where needed, a person) and showing you your own verified audience in the creator portal. It is never sold, shared, used for advertising, or used to train models. It is transferred only to our hosting processor (Cloudflare) and, for the verified audience numbers only, to DeepSeek for the automated first-pass review, or as required by law. No person at Slop Squash reads your YouTube data except during human review of your application or with your consent.
Removing it
Detach the channel in the creator portal, or delete your account; either deletes the snapshot. You can also revoke Slop Squash at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which stops future connections but does not by itself delete the snapshot we already hold.
Sign-in with Google
"Continue with Google" is separate and uses only the basic profile scopes: your email address and name.
