Site rules, allow lists and deny lists
Three layers decide whether a site is scanned: the built-in exclusions, your allow and deny lists in the options page, and the per-site switch in the popup.

Order of precedence
For any page the extension decides whether to scan in this order:
- Built-in exclusions. slopsquash.com and every subdomain (www, affiliate, admin, api, support) and the local development servers are never scanned, and cannot be enabled. The popup says "Slop Squash does not scan its own site" there.
- Extension enabled. The global switch at the top of the popup's settings. Off means nothing is scanned anywhere.
- Scan this site. The per-site switch in the popup. An explicit choice here wins over the lists below.
- Deny list. Domains listed here are never scanned unless the popup overrides one.
- Allow list. When this list has entries, only those domains are scanned unless the popup overrides one. Leave it empty to scan everywhere.
Entries match the domain and its subdomains; example.com also covers news.example.com. A leading www. or *. is ignored.
Editing the lists
Open the popup, choose Options, and enter one domain per line (or comma separated) under Allow list and Deny list. Choose Save settings. The lists are stored with your extension settings and follow your browser's extension sync.
Pro rules inside a site
Pro accounts also get rules inside a site, set from the card: Always hide this account, Always allow this account and Always allow this post, which exempts a container from auto-hide. These are also local to your browser.
