Getting started
Connect the extension to your account
The connect page issues the extension its own long-lived token inside the tab, so the popup can show your plan and let you report.
Updated
The extension does not share the website's sign-in. It gets its own token, which lasts 90 days and is stored inside the extension.
Steps
- Open the popup and choose Connect account, or go to the connect page directly.
- Sign in if you are not already.
- The page requests an extension token and passes it to the extension inside that tab only, for up to 20 seconds. When the extension answers, the page says Connected.
- Open the popup on any site: the header now reads "Account connected" and shows your tier.
You can connect as many browsers as you like; each gets its own token. Connecting again in the same browser replaces the token.
What the token is for
Requests the extension makes carry the token so your daily limit applies to your account, community reports are recorded once per account, and Pro features unlock when your plan is Pro. The token is tied to your account: anyone using your browser profile can use Slop Squash as you, so sign out of the extension on shared computers.
Signing the extension out
Sign out from the popup to delete the token from the browser. Removing the extension deletes all of its storage. Deleting your account revokes every token at once.
If nothing answers
The page waits 20 seconds and then says nothing replied. Usually the extension is not installed in this browser, is disabled, or is blocked from running on slopsquash.com. See The connect page says nothing replied.
