The circle: where it sits and when it appears

What it looks like

A 40px circle with a frosted white fill, a thin translucent border and a soft shadow, holding the squash mark. It springs in, and the squash bounces every 2.8 seconds to ask for attention. With reduced motion enabled in your system settings, it fades in instead.

Where it sits

One circle per post, whichever part of the post was flagged:

• Posts with media at least 120px on both sides (an image, an image grid, a carousel, a video poster, a large background image): bottom-right corner of the media, 12px in from the edges. A cropped or scrolling gallery uses its visible area, never its hidden part.
• Posts with only small media (thumbnails, avatars): bottom-right of the post.
• Text-only posts and comments: bottom-right of the text.
• A quoted post inside a post belongs to the outer post, which gets the one circle.
• A bare image with no post container: the image itself.

The circle follows scrolling (including inner scrollers), resizing and page changes. Tap it and the squash drops out, a close cross rotates in, and the card opens above it (or below it when there is no room above).

When it appears

Three things have to be true:

1. The post is at least 60% visible, or fills 60% of your screen. The circle then enters after 700 milliseconds.
2. The confidence is at or above your sensitivity threshold: 95% on Strict, 90% on Balanced (the default), 70% on Lenient. See Sensitivity presets.
3. The site is enabled: not switched off in the popup, not on your deny list, and not slopsquash.com itself, which is never scanned.

Content that is too small is skipped: images under 96 by 96 pixels, text under 40 characters, navigation and page chrome, ads, tracking pixels, sprites, canvases and inline SVG illustrations. See What gets checked.
