Getting started
Do I need an account?
No for the free tier. Yes for community reports, Pro, and the creator program.

Without an account
Everything in the free tier works signed out: the circle, the card, hiding a post for the session, on-device writing-pattern analysis, provenance checks, and the community verdict cache. Signed-out requests to our API are rate limited per hashed IP address instead of per account, and nothing about you is stored beyond that daily counter.
What an account adds
- Community reports. "Not AI" and "Report as AI" record one vote per account per piece of content, so they need a connected account.
- Your daily limit on your account rather than on your network's IP address, which matters on shared connections.
- Pro. Auto-hide, per-site rules, "always hide this account", and the recheck are tied to an account's plan.
- The creator program, which also needs a verified email address.
Creating one
Sign up with an email address and password, or continue with Google, GitHub, X, Twitch or Instagram. See Create an account. Then hand the extension your account from the connect page; see Connect the extension to your account.
