Sign-in with a provider failed

After a provider sign-in you land on the callback page. When something went wrong it shows a message; the underlying codes are these.

Code	Meaning	What to do
oauth_denied	You cancelled or declined on the provider's consent screen	Try again and accept
oauth_missing_code	The provider returned without an authorisation code	Try again; if it repeats, use another method
oauth_bad_state	The sign-in took too long or the browser lost the state that ties the request to the answer	Start again from the sign-in page in the same browser tab; do not open the provider link in another browser
oauth_failed	The provider or our exchange with it failed	Wait a minute and try again
oauth_email_unverified	The provider reports your email address as unverified on their side	Verify it with the provider, or sign up with an email address and password
disposable_email	The address is at a disposable domain	Use an address you keep
suspended	The account is suspended	Email support@slopsquash.com
email_taken	The address already has an account created another way	Sign in the way you did before; see Email already in use
pending_expired	The X or Instagram email step was left too long	Sign in with the provider again and enter the address promptly

A provider button does nothing

That provider is not configured on our side (the API answers "oauth unconfigured"). Use another provider or an email address and password, and let support know.

Instagram: no professional account found

Instagram sign-in works only for business or creator accounts. Switch your account to professional in Instagram's settings, or use another method.

Pop-up and cookie blockers

Provider sign-in is a full-page redirect, so pop-up blockers do not matter, but a browser set to block all cookies can break the provider's own consent flow. Allow cookies for the provider's site.
