Your first run, and what to expect

Open a supported site

Go to a feed with plenty of images, for example a large subreddit or the X home timeline, and scroll normally. Slop Squash only checks content near the viewport (the visible area plus a margin), so it works as you scroll rather than scanning the whole page at once.

Wait for the circle

A flag is a 40px frosted circle with the squash mark, drawn in the bottom-right corner of a post's media. It appears about 700 milliseconds after a post is at least 60% visible, and only when the confidence is at or above your sensitivity threshold. The default preset, Balanced, shows flags at 90% confidence. On a feed with little AI content you may scroll for a while before seeing one; that is normal.

Three settings worth knowing

Open the popup by clicking the extension icon.

1. Sensitivity. Strict (95%), Balanced (90%, the default) or Lenient (70%). Lenient shows more flags, including weaker ones. See Sensitivity presets.
2. Scan this site. A per-site switch. Turn it off on any site where you do not want flags.
3. On-device only. Keeps every check inside your browser and sends nothing to our API, at the cost of most image checks. See On-device only mode.
